FXhome reveals 'Pay What You Want' initiative for HitFilm Express software

NORWICH, UK — FXhome (www.fxhome.com), the developer of editing, VFX and compositing software, has announced a new ‘good will’ program in support of the HitFilm Express community. The Pay What You Want program (https://fxhome.com/hitfilm-express/pwyw) was inspired by the HitFilm Express community’s requests for options to contribute to future development of the free video editing and VFX software. The program now enables users to contribute financially, ensuring that those funds will be allocated for future development and improvements to HitFilm.

Additionally, FXhome will contribute a percentage of proceeds from Pay What You Want to organizations dedicated to global causes that are important to the company and its community. At its launch, the initiative will donate a portion of its proceeds to the WWF and the Australia Emergency Bushfire Fund (https://www.wwf.org.uk/updates/how-you-can-help-australia-fires). The larger the contribution from customers, the more FXhome will donate.

HitFilm Express is a free download, however, now customers will be offered the option to Pay What You Want for the software and receive exclusive discounts on HitFilm add-on packs and effects. Coinciding with the release of Pay What You Want, FXhome is also releasing HitFilm Express 14, featuring a new and simplified export process, new text controls, a streamlined UI and a host of new features.

There are several levels in place for those looking to make contributions.

The Starter Pack Level accepts contributions as little as $9.00 and provides a professional dark mode interface; edit tools such as Text, Split Screen Masking, PiP, Vertical Video, Action Cam Crop; color tools; and additional VFX packs, including Shatter, 3D Extrusion, Fire, Blood Spray and Animated Lasers.
