Launched in 1997, the Sounddogs.com (www.sounddogs.com) site has grown with the acquisition of sound library assets and trademarks of Todd-AO/Soundelux, and continued with its own recording projects. The company has also built distribution partnerships with most major sound libraries around the world. Their product line includes the Soundstorm library.

Sound Ideas has a long history of collaboration with SoundDogs.com and its owner Rob Nokes. “Rob is a leader in the industry,” says Sound Ideas owner Brian Nimens. “His reputation as a sound recorder, designer and editor is unmatched; and the skill with which he has developed and grown the Sounddogs.com brand and site is remarkable. I have known Rob for decades and I am thrilled that Sound Ideas will be able to move forward with the Sounddogs.com name.”

“Brian was among the first sound effects producers to provide content to the Sounddogs.com site and he is still a large contributor,” adds Nokes. “Our friendship goes back longer than either of us might like to admit, but it gives me peace of mind to know that the Sounddogs.com site and brand will continue as a force under his direction.”

The Sounddogs.com site offers over one million sounds for immediate purchase, license and download, and it is the intention of Sound Ideas to not only maintain but grow its online presence.
