We’re a strange lot, we editors…especially the older vets. And guess what? We get as tired of hearing our own bitching about things as you younger cutters must be — you pups raised on desktops and digital. But we have a right and a reason for our cantankerousness: we’ve fought in the Big One…Analog Tape. And we lived to tell about it. |

As I started this review of Sapphire V.3 (one of the most established and trusted workhorses in the arsenal of AVX filters around), I discovered that beyond the vast assortment of Sapphire filters I often use, I knew very little about the whole other side of this amazing toolkit that does much, much more. One of the reasons I became a video editor was because I like to play with toys, and among the coolest toys editors have are AVX filters. Recently I had a chance to test a new filters package from NewBlueFX. |
