EDITIONAL EFFECTS BREAKS INTO AUDIO

NEW YORK - Promo editing house Editional Effects (www.editionaleffects.com) recently completed an expansion of its facilities that includes the addition of two Digidesign Pro Tools-based audio suites featuring Yamaha mixing consoles. The two audio rooms will help Editional Effects provide end-to-end post services, as it already offers four Avid editing rooms, as well as graphics design, animation and compositing systems.

The new sound rooms bring the facility's total space to 6,000 square feet and are centered around the DAW maker's Pro Tools|HD3 systems with the A/V option.

Sound veteran Roy Harter serves as co-partner in the new venture, coming to the editing house from Clack/Hothead Studios where he spent seven years as an engineer and sound designer. His accomplishments include composing and engineering all of the music for the Noggin children network's relaunch, as well as sound design and mixing for the highly-rated Nickelodeon special "Rugrats All Growed Up."

Harter's brother Ken also joined the studio, bringing with him engineering, mixing and composition skills. Ken Harter previously spent time at Blink FX.
