EDITOLOGY BUYS MEDIA 100'S 300TH 844/X NLE

MARLBORO, MA - Media 100, based here, recently passed the 300 mark in sales for its 844/X 10-bit nonlinear editor/compositor. The 300th system was sold to post house Editology (www.editology.com) in Manhattan, an Emmy Award-winning studio that works on advertising projects as well as on Showtime's Best of Boxing.

The NLE manufacturer (www.media100.com) also recently sold two units to the CBS affiliate KXII-TV Channel 12 in Dallas, which will use the systems for spot work. The creative team at KXII includes three graphics artists, two of whom are editors as well. Familiar with Adobe Photoshop, they will be able to easily import layers from the photo-retouching tool into the 844/X system for additional treatment.

KXII works exclusively in the D-9 format. The quality of the format, when viewed in the 844/X, says KXII-TV operations manager/executive producer Joel Scarbrough, definitely influenced his purchase decision.
