SHOOTERS POST & TRANSFER ADDS DISCREET FIRE FINISHING SYSTEMS

PHILADELPHIA - Shooters Post & Transfer has purchased a number of additional Discreet systems, which will be used on its growing portfolio of commercial spots and high-definition television programming projects.

The studio added two Discreet Fire 6 nonlinear editing/finishing systems running on SGI Onyx 350 workstations. The new additions join the facility's three existing Fire systems. Shooters also purchased Discreet's Backdraft background media management software, and upgrade its Discreet Flame visual effects and compositing system to Version 8.

The studio works on numerous HD projects using Fire and Flame systems, including Comcast SportsNet's graphics package for the Philadelphia and Chicago markets. It also edits TLC's Trading Spaces and handles Banyan Productions' HD conforms. The main titles for the CBS drama Hack were also posted at the facility.
