SANTA MARIA, CA - Veteran animator/animation supervisor Paul Griffin has joined CafeFX (www.cafefx.com), a division of the ComputerCafe Group, as animation director. Griffin comes to CafeFX with extensive feature film, television and commercial credentials, having held positions at Industrial Light & Magic and, recently, New Zealand?s Weta, where worked on "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King." While there, he was also involved in pre-production for the remake of "King Kong."
At ILM, Griffin provided animation for commercials, including a Cleo-winning Super Bowl spot for the GM EV1 and for the feature films "Jurassic Park 3," "Magnolia," "Deep Blue Sea," "The Mummy Returns" and "Star Wars: Episode 1" and "2."
