LIQUID 9 TEAM GROWS

KANSAS CITY, MO – Boutique post house Liquid 9 (www.iloveliquid9.com) has added three new members to its creative team as well as two account executives.

Patrick Meagher joins L9 as composer/sound designer. Meagher was recently awarded the opportunity to record his original composition, “The Wedding Song,” at London’s Abbey Road studio through the University of Missouri, Kansas City. He is an accomplished musician, skilled at guitar, bass and piano.

Curtis Schmidt comes to L9 as their lead video editor. Schmidt was formerly an editor at Crush Editorial in Santa Monica, CA. He brings with him over 10 years of editorial experience in commercials, music videos, television and feature film. He recently edited the Queens of the Stone Age’s 3s & 7s music video. His spot work includes credits for Toyota, GMC, Kawasaki, K-Swiss, Macy’s, Yahoo and Nokia. Schmidt has worked as an editor for the Fox TV series Trading Spouses and Battle Dome, as well as the feature film Dawn of the Dead.

And Daniela Maria Kelley joins the studio as assistant editor. Kelley has international and national expertise in production, post production, marketing, client services and creative writing. She has worked with Pogo Films in London, as well as in Los Angeles, performing numerous duties for the TV show Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.

On the sales and marketing side, Liquid 9 had added Dan Barker and Susan Harmon, who will be responsible for handling new business development, focusing on ad agencies and corporations while coordinating client solutions.

Barker was formerly director of business development at staffing and recruiting agency LandaJob in Kansas City. He is president of the Kansas City Business Men’s Organization and a member of the board of the Advertising Club of Kansas City. 

Harmon comes to L9 from Tri-Com Technical Service in Overland Park, Kansas, where she served as regional IT recruiter, placing candidates with clients such as H&R Block, Cerner, Argus, Cargill and Hallmark. She brings five years of sales experience and is a member of the Wyandotte Chamber of Commerce and Johnson County Chamber of Commerce.
