TORRANCE, CA - Ulead Systems (www.ulead.com), the maker of MPEG editing software and one of the first to support the HDV format, will now support Sony?s new HDR-FX1 camcorder. The company is supporting native HD video editing through its MediaStudio Pro professional video editing software suite and will add additional support for Sony?s HDR-FX1 through a plug-in.

Established by Canon, Sharp, Sony and JVC, HDV is designed to give consumers an affordable way to record and playback high-quality, high definition video on standard DV and MiniDV cassette tapes. The Ulead HD plug-in for MediaStudio Pro is expected to be available for the Sony HDR-FX1 camcorder by the end of this month.
