ULTRABLAND CREATES HD GRAPHICS PACKAGE FOR HBO'S 'ENTOURAGE'

The studio designed the graphics package for last year's premiere season, and this time around crafted a high-energy, upbeat package built upon the signature style, while giving it a fresh, new feel.

"Entourage" draws upon executive producer Mark Wahlberg's experiences as an industry insider, and follows the day-to-day life of Vince Chase, a young actor whose star is rising. Helping Chase navigate Hollywood's fast lane is his crew of childhood buddies from Queens, along with an aggressive agent and savvy publicist.

The multi-element graphics package contains numerous end pages and title cards. Editor Victor Masnyj designed the graphics package so that it had the versatility to work within an assortment of promos.

"The graphics package we originally created for Entourage's premiere season was designed to capture the provocative essence of the show and attract an initial audience," notes Ultrabland principal, Bennett Killmer. "This time around the challenge for Ultrabland was to inject that original style with a fresh, updated feel that echoed the evolution of the characters in the new season, while still maintaining the fundamental spirit of the look we created for the debut season."

Ultrabland delivered the promo graphics package in three formats - SD, HD 1080i, and HD 1080p - to cover all of HBO's broadcast needs as well as in-theater spots.

Masnyj served as lead designer, with Killmer and Sara Moseley also contributing to the design.
