HOT DOG! WEINERSCHNITZEL'S HD SPOTS

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA - Sleepy Hollow Television (www.sleepyhollowtelevison.com) recently worked with DGWB Advertising on the production and post of a series of high definition Wienerschnitzel advertisements. The three spots mark the first time the hot dog giant has worked outside the film world.

Sleepy Hollow shot "Mini Corn Dog," "Mini Chili Dog" and "Pastrami Dog" in 1080/24p using a Sony CineAlta F900 camera. The spots were edited in-house at the agency and are airing in California, Utah, Arizona and Texas.

"Not only was the quality of the footage nearly equal to any of the spots we have shot in the past with film, the cost of the production was such that it makes the use of high definition an extremely viable option," says Jon Gothold, partner/creative director at DGWB Advertising. "We were hesitant at first, but after seeing the results, we would continue to consider using HD in the future."

Sleepy Hollow president Paul Jenner believes the days of using film solely for such shoots may be numbered. "The myth that film is the only alternative to producing high-quality images is no longer the case. With our technology, we can equal and sometimes better the production quality of film. Plus, with the cost of shooting in HD so much more cost efficient, it offers our clients the opportunity to have their cake, or in this case a hot dog, and eat it too."
