INDIA'S ZEE TV BUYS FOUR LEITCH HD NONLINEAR EDITORS

CINCINNATI, OH – Leitch, part of the Broadcast Communications Division of Harris Corporation, here, recently sold four VelocityHD NLEs to Zee TV, a Hindi entertainment channel that is one of the largest producers of Hindi programming in the world. Zee TV is the flagship channel of the Zee Network, with programming accessible to over 225 million viewers in more than 80 countries across five continents. The network’s range of programming includes drama series, primetime comedy, TV movies, miniseries, theatrical films, specials, children's programs, daytime dramas, game shows and late-night shows.

Zee TV has plans to use the new high-definition/standard-definition-capable VelocityHD systems to edit current affairs programming and promotions.

VelocityHD combines Leitch’s Altitude hardware platform with the Velocity software interface. The system offers realtime HD editing and playback performance of multiple video and graphics streams, including transitions and effects. Formats that are supported by VelocityHD include 1080i, 1080PsF and 720p frame formats at all common frame rates.
