PANASONIC SHIPS 17-INCH HD/SD LCD MONITOR

SECAUCUS, NJ - Panasonic Broadcast (www.panasonic.com/broadcast) is now delivering its BT-LH1700W production-quality high definition/standard definition LCD monitor. Designed for both studio and field applications, the 17-inch BT-LH1700W displays vibrant, highly-accurate images in a space-saving, light-weight footprint.

The new unit features two auto switching SDI/HD-SDI inputs, along with a high-speed response with no blurring. It also offers one of the industry's lowest delays, realized by an image processing circuit that converts interlaced into progressive signals with no visible delays. The multiformat, self-contained unit is outfitted with a 1280 x 768 pixel WXGA-resolution panel and faithfully reproduces up to 16.7 million colors. With selectable color temperature, the monitor makes it easy to match different standards. Gamma is also adjustable, as is Cine Gamma (Film-Rec) compensation, specifically for monitoring with Panasonic's VariCam HD Cinema camera.

Priced at $3,400, the monitor is 3.2-inches deep and has a wide vertical and horizontal viewing angle of 176 degrees. It's compatible with multiple 1080/24PsF, 1080i, 720p and 480p/i formats.
