PLASTERCITY OPENS NEW HD FACILITY

HOLLYWOOD - PlasterCity Digital Post (www.plastercitypost.com) recently unveiled its new all-digital film and video post production facility, featuring 10-bit 4:4:4 RGB studio networking, which enables clients to edit, color correct and perform all picture processes at the highest quality, including uncompressed codecs. The studio is home to 10 new HD suites, an HD theater/screening room and offers an HD digital intermediate workflow.

PlasterCity is based primarily around Apple hardware and software. Applications include Apple's Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects.

The facility's workflow is designed around Sony's HDCAM SR format. Projects coming to the facility would remain in that format throughout post production. Filmmakers shooting in 35mm need to transfer their film to SR, and the project would remain 4:4:4, 10-bit for the entire post process.
