Issue: Thanksgiving Thoughts - 2005

Steve Beal, President, NYC's Bionic Media

I am very lucky to have a senior staff who are so extremely generous with their time to help train our junior staff of editors and audio engineers. With Thanksgiving rapidly approaching we've asked some industry pros what they have to be thankful for this year. This is what they said…

Amazing opportunities are passed down and as the juniors come into their own, each one ends up bringing a little something special to the table. As a whole, Bionic's work has fallen into this unique cycle of creative evolution, which makes our clients very happy and keeps the staff motivated and creatively inspired.

I am thankful that I've been blessed with a staff of people who are seemingly as dedicated to the success of my company as I am. At the end of the day, New York City is filled with Avid and Pro Tools rooms. Our greatest asset hands down is the unique collection of amazing people who come together on a daily basis and make magic happen for our clients.

I am thankful that our broadcast and advertising clients are really starting to embrace HD as the format of choice and a great alternative to shooting on 16 and 35mm film. As editors and sound designers, the creative process has been taken to places that we only could have dreamed of in SD.
