There's so much in the world today that's wrong that it was difficult to find reasons to be thankful. I mean, the fact that the American public is finally admitting that Bush made a mistake going into Iraq as the casualty rate over there tops 2,000 seems far too inevitable to be worthy of thanks, but although far too late, I am thankful for at least that. After filtering through all the selfish "successes" etc, that have been so generously bestowed upon me during the past year I found that deep down I'm thankful for simple things, even cliche things, such as my health, my family, my happy and long-lasting marriage, but it's a worthwhile question because so seldom do we take a moment to reflect, and inevitably when we do we find that maybe the stuff we spend so much time and energy being focused upon and pursuing, isn't really so important after all.
