SMARTSOUND MOOD MAPPING EASES CUSTOM TRACK CREATION

NORTHRIDGE, CA – SmartSound Software (www.smartsound.com) a provider of music scoring technology for film and video professionals, has launched Sonicfire Pro 4, a new version of its flagship software. The latest release introduces Mood Mapping, a new feature that gives users complete control over the feel and mix of their score, as well as over the timing.

A collection of preset mood mixes allows users to instantly and precisely match the feel of their music to the changing mood of their productions, without having to perform any advanced audio or music editing or mixing.

Each music selection within Sonicfire Pro 4 has a Mood Map track. Users can identify points in their production where changes in mood occur and can change the mix of the score to fit each mood by selecting a preset mix. Each mix has the individual instrument layers so users can mute or solo drums, strings, etc. Layers can also be manually adjusted allowing the user to independently bring down the horns or bring up the strings, for example.

Coinciding with the launch is the release of the first 10 volumes of the “Multi-Layer Strata Series” music collection. All of the royalty-free music in the Strata Series is designed to work with the Mood Mapping capabilities in Sonicfire Pro 4.

Sonicfire Pro 4 is available for Windows XP or Macintosh OSX 10.4 and higher operating systems. Pricing starts at $199.
