SOUND LOUNGE OPENS SOHO FACILITY

NEW YORK – Audio post house Sound Lounge (www.soundlounge.com) has completed a major expansion, adding a second location, situated on Hudson Street in New York’s Soho district. Sound Lounge Hudson features two new 5.1 mixing suites and will serve as home to the company’s new music and sound design division.

Sound Lounge president Tom Jucarone says the area has become a hotbed of activity for advertising work and that there is now a demand for top tier audio post production services.

“We have developed a very large clientele in the Soho area and we want to make it as convenient as possible for them to work with us,” says Jucarone.  “The new studio was built to the same precise standards as our main studio. It features the same industry leading technology, and we have staffed it with a great team of mixers and support personnel. We have also done our best to create a fun, comfortable, creative working environment - a place where people will enjoy doing great work.”

Sound Lounge Hudson will offer a full spectrum of audio post services, including mixing for television, radio production and voice casting. Through the company’s new music and sound design division, it will also offer original music production and sound design services.

The facility features two 5.1 mixing suites, a music recording studio, a live room, a writer’s studio, a casting room and a client lounge. The mixing staff includes Scott Persson, who joins Sound Lounge from McHale Barone. Persson’s credits include work for Heineken, American Standard, St. Martin’s Press and the Broadway musicals Letat and The Color Purple. He also spent time at Headroom Digital.

Mixer Peter Buccellato is also on staff, bringing with him more than 20 years of experience as a mixer at studios such as The Mix Place, Mixed Nuts and Lower East Side, all in New York.

Executive producer Brad Stratton is heading up the new music and sound design division. He comes to the studio from the New York post house Fluid and has also headed up music production at the New York ad agency, D’Arcy.
