SAN FRANCISCO – Dolby (www.dolby.com), here, was at the recent AES show with its Media Producer Suite, designed for pros who want to master audio files for DVD and high definition disc media. The complete suite – initially designed for Mac OS - will begin shipping later this month and will include the Dolby Media Encoder, Dolby Media Decoder and Dolby Media Tools.
The Dolby Media Encoder offers comprehensive encoding and job control capabilities in a client-server environment. The Decoder provides reference decoding functions, including all Dolby decoding and listening modes. Dolby Media Tools offers bit-stream and metadata editing features that help eliminate the need to re-encode previously encoded audio files.
The suite supports Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD and MLP Lossless for the new HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc formats, as well as DVD-Video and DVD-Audio formats.
The complete suite will sell for approximately $11,000.
