ST. LOUIS, MO – At the recent AES show, Studio Network Solutions (www.studionetworksolutions.com) introduced a public beta version of its Postmap software. The tool is the company’s new search and management software for post production workgroups and can be used to quickly locate folders and files stored locally, remotely, offline or online.
Postmap is designed to accommodate users that operate in a single office or in more complex environments where users are distributed throughout multiple locations. The Postmap Server, Indexer and Database are installed on a single computer or distributed across multiple computers on any Ethernet network. Users at any location can search the indexed contents of all scanned storage, including SAN file servers, and removable storage such as FireWire drives and DVDs.
The software is currently available as a public download with plans to release the production version for both Mac OS and Windows operating systems in late 2006. To participate in the beta testing, visit: www.trypostmap.com.
