NEW YORK RENTAL HOUSE ACQUIRES FUJINON HD LENSES

NEW YORK - Tamberelli Digital, one of New York City’s most active production rental houses, recently acquired quantities of Fujinon HD lenses to keep up with its increasing camera inventory and customers' current and future need for HD gear. The new Fujinon HD lenses on the Tamberelli roster include HA13x4.5BERM wide-angle, ENG-style lenses; HA22x7.8BERM telephoto lenses; and HA18x7.6BERM wide-angle, ENG/EFP zoom lenses.

Since acquiring the lenses, Tamberelli Digital customers including commercial, corporate, documentary and television production companies have been fitting the lenses on both SD and HD cameras. “We’re planning for the future, because ultimately everything is going to be shot in high definition,” says company owner Tony Tamberelli, Sr. “I’m confident we made a wise investment in choosing HD lenses over SD lenses, which are slowly being phased out in our industry.”

About 95 percent of Tamberelli’s lens inventory (www.tamberelli.com) is Fujinon, and the shop plans to continue purchasing Fujinons. “The mechanics and optics of Fujinon’s HD lenses are excellent,” Tamberelli says. “The lenses rarely break, but if they do, Fujinon will help us immediately, and repair it within a matter of days, and not weeks.”

Tamberelli Digital customers are using the lenses on a number of commercials being shot with both SD and HD cameras. They are also being used in feature film production, internal and external corporate videos, documentaries, reality television shows, and recently on Saturday Night Live.

“Fujinon (www.fujinonbroadcast.com) is at the forefront of the current industry transition from standard definition to high definition,” says Dave Waddell, marketing manager, Fujinon. “We're happy to provide Tamberelli Digital with our top-of-the-line wide-angle and telephoto HD lenses to meet their customers’ needs.”
