FINAL CUT EDITOR LEAVES LONDON FOR NY

NEW YORK - Editor Alex Hagon has relocated from Final Cut's (www.finalcut-edit.com) London office to its New York space. Hagon has been with the London creative editorial company since early 2004 and now looks to broaden his career in the US.

"I've found that an increasing number of the directors I work with in London are now working in the States, so it is an easy transition for me," he explains. "Also, I'm excited about working with diverse American directors."

Hagon has worked commercials, long format projects and music videos. He launched his editing career at Red Square Editing shortly after graduating from college and worked his way up from assistant to editor. In 2000, he became a partner in the company and handled the day-to-day operation in addition to editing full-time duties.

His recent work while at Final Cut/London includes a 20-minute short film for Nissan, directed by Patrick Bergh of Partizan, that will be released on the 24 DVD. The project is being promoted as both a sponsorship identity for Nissan and as a film. Hagon is also currently working on six spots for GMC.
