CUTTING VISION PRODUCES, POSTS GLAXOSMITHKLINE DVD

NEW YORK - Cutting Vision (www.cuttingvision.com) recently provided a complete package of production and post production services to pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline for an informational DVD that's being distributed to physicians and healthcare providers. The "Anxiety Disorders & Major Depressive Disorders in the Hispanic Population" DVD is a 45-minute disc containing six chapters, hosted by an on-screen spokesperson.

The studio provided production, editing, DVD authoring, audio post and graphics services for the project, shooting on Panasonic DVCPRO50 at 24p to create a filmic look, and offlining on an Avid Adrenaline.

Cutting Vision partner Jeff Beckerman served as director/creative director for the project, shooting live action in New York with DP Derek Wieseham and in Miami with DP Ivan Jordana. Mark Leo served as line producer.

Jeff Spangler handled motion graphics, crafting the charts and tables in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects. Vignetted stock photos were used to create a stylish yet cost-effective solution for segments relating to case histories. He also devised graphic transitional effects to lead in and out of areas and to bridge the gaps between topics, as well as provided the disc's menu design.
Greg Kiernan spent approximately two weeks offlining the DVD in Adrenaline. He conformed the project on the same platform, mastering to Digital Betacam.

Mark Cobrin of Cutting Vision's sister audio facility, Sound and Vision Studios, balanced and EQ'd the audio, added stock music and mixed the tracks. Kiernan delivered MPEG2 and AC3 files to Beckerman, who authored the DVD using Apple's DVD Studio Pro 4. Cutting Vision also supervised the replication of 5,000 DVDs at an outside facility.
