PEEPSHOW COMPLETES GERMAN AUDI SPOT

LONDON - Peepshow’s Mark Edinoff recently completed work on a spot for Audi in which one of the automaker’s sedans races away from the Sun’s creeping rays as dawn breaks. Style War directed Audi S-Race, which was produced by Tony Petersen Film/Stink and is airing in Germany.

The job gave Edinoff, an accomplished comedy editor, an opportunity to play with light and dark. The spot opens with dawn breaking and the Audi taking off into the dark just before sunlight hits the car. Through a sleeping city, the Audi sprints, always managing to keep one step ahead of the Sun’s beams. The car leaves the city, finally stopping at the peak of a mountain. The driver then signals for the Sun to pass.

Edinoff cut the spot on an Avid Media Composer. Dave Ludlum at Framestore served as colorist on the project and Alex Thomas handled online and visual effects. The spot features music composed by Bauhouse.
