BLAZEFS EASES FILES SHARING FOR MAC NONLINEAR EDITORS

OAKDALE, MN – Later this month, Small Tree Communications (www.small-tree.com) will release BlazeFS, a new remote file sharing system designed specifically for Macs. The system is designed to work in concert with other high performance networking products Small Tree offers, such as 10Gb Ethernet and InfiniBand releases.

BlazeFS provides remote file sharing that is completely transparent to client applications and works as if the user were accessing files on a local disk. Additionally, BlazeFS can drive data to the maximum speed of a Gigabit Ethernet link.

BlazeFS offers users the ability to store large data files, such as uncompressed HD video, on a file server rather than local to each client and allows clients to access these files at speeds similar to the local disk.

Small Tree showed BlazeFS back in January at Mac World in San Francisco and has achieved impressive results when using Final Cut Pro HD. It hopes to be at NAB next month in a partner’s booth.
