JVC INTROS DLA-HD10K HD PROJECTOR

WAYNE, NJ - JVC Professional Products Company (www.pro.jvc.com) has introduced the DLA-HD10K projector, designed for post facilities, home theatres and custom installations. The new model is the flagship product is JVC's family of HD, ultra high-resolution home theater projection systems and features the company's three-chip Direct Drive Image Light Amplifier (D-ILA) technology, an advanced form of Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS) that is capable of greater pixel density than competing technologies, such as DLP or LCD.

The DLA-HD10K offers native 1920x1080 resolution and uses non-moving mirror reflective technology to produce smooth, high-resolution images. In addition, the high-resolution lenses have motorized zoom and focus with a 0-60 percent vertical offset.

"We received a great amount of feedback from our customers and incorporated their suggestions to create a phenomenal three-chip 1080p projector that produces extremely high resolution and high impact images that is sure to impress critical eyes," says Carl Mandelbaum, national marketing manager for display products at JVC.

The DLA-HD10K is available in two models to accommodate a variety of theater sizes. A long throw with a lens throw distance of 2-3.8:1, which accommodates placement of the projector at the back of the theater. When shown on a 10-foot screen, the projector could be placed anywhere from 20 to 38 feet from the screen. A short throw model has a lens throw distance of 1.5 - 2.0:1, which enables the projector to be used for CRT replacement or in rear screen applications.

The projector's optical engine design delivers a 2500:1 high contrast ratio for deep, rich cinema-quality blacks with smooth gradations. The case has been designed to have no stray light leakage to eliminate any distraction from the viewing experience. Its advanced airflow design provides optimum cooling and allows for quiet operation at 27db noise level.

This DLA-HD10K accepts the signal input via a DVI-D connector at 1080p 48/50/60 (59.94) [Hz] only.  JVC is currently working with Faroudja, Silicon Optix and Anchor Bay Technologies to supply a choice of three different external digital signal processor packages with this model.

The suggested list price for the DLA-HD10K is $24,995.
