SOMERVILLE, MA - 1 Beyond, Inc. (www.1beyond.com), a provider of digital video editing and compositing systems, and its new storage division, 1stDesign, exhibited at HD Expo West this week. Visitors had a chance to check out the new Matrox Axio LE realtime HD/SD editing platform running on the 1 Beyond’s HD Flex workstation.
Also showcased at their booth was a range of affordable editing and storage solutions, including the IntelliRaid FC and IntelliRaid SCSI, which offer enterprise level storage at desktop prices. These high performance storage systems are designed specifically for video applications, running over 1 GBs sustained data rate for the 2 FC controller SAN configuration, over 700 MBs direct attach FC and over 450MBs for the IntelliRaid dual SCSI model.
1 Beyond’s 3817 HD laptop, an Apple G5 and the 1 Beyond Flex system were connected to the 1stDesign Harmony SAN/NAS, demonstrating the system’s capabilities in supporting numerous streams of uncompressed full resolution HD video.
