LONDON – Soho-based creative post house Blue
(www.bluepp.co.uk) is undergoing a significant expansion as part of a major
investment by Prime Focus UK plc. The facility’s number of Avid systems will
grow from 11 to 30 suites, backed by a 30TB EditShare storage solution.
Two additional Avid DS Nitris systems and an additional HD tape grading suite
are being installed to increase Blue’s finishing capabilities. And November
will also see the installation of two 5.1 dubbing suites.
The upgrade follows the recent purchase of three of the latest Linux-based
Smoke systems as part of a group-wide upgrade of all Autodesk systems within
Prime Focus UK.
