LAIKA/HOUSE APPONTS NEW MANAGER OF CG

PORTLAND, OR – Animation studio Laika/House (www.laika.com), which is owned by Nike co-founder/chairman Phil Knight and was re-branded last summer when it absorbed Vinton Studios, has appointed Roland Gauthier CG manager.

Gauthier will oversee Laika/House’s CG animation group for all commercial projects.  Most recently, he was senior technical director for Laika/House. He joined the operation when it was Vinton Studios in 2003 as a character rigger in CG. Over the next three years, Gauthier fined-tuned his talent in CG character set-up on a variety of projects.
