MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA - Eovia Corporation (www.eovia.com) has released the international English and French language editions of Carrara 5, its low-cost 3D application. The PC and Mac tool is available in regular ($249) and professional ($549) versions, both providing users with a suite of 3D modeling, animation and rendering tools wrapped within an easy-to-use interface.
The latest version now includes Poser 6 support in Eovia TransPoser 2; improved Poser 6 support with Carrara’s new native importer; translucency for more realistic lighting effects; inclusion/exclusion list for lights; replication of volumetric objects (such as clouds); and smoothing of multiple objects. These new additions complement existing features that include: object and surface replicators; realistic surface reflections by way of the Fresnel effect; faster rendering via fly-through optimizations; an improved vertex modeler; additional rendering enhancements; and a redesigned user interface and browser.
