BOSTON – Boris FX (www.borisfx.com) has announced its plans to show Boris Blue at the upcoming SIGGRAPH show in Boston. Boris Blue is designed for video editors and compositors who want to create 3D looks for their projects without the complex learning curves and render times often associated with 3D applications.
Because of its realtime performance, Boris Blue can be used in client-attended sessions. The tool delivers realtime processing of 2D and 3D effects, as well as realtime streaming of moving video and audio media within effect compositions. The application is optimized for use with Nvidia graphics cards. Features include 3D particle creation and the ability to import 3D models.
Blue is priced at $1,995. It’s also bundled with Nvidia’s Quadro FX 4500 ($3495) and GeForce 7800 GTX ($2295).
