HOLLYWOOD – Widget Post recently made significant upgrades
to its AMS Neve DFC (www.ams-neve.com)
digital film console. The digital console - installed seven years ago and used
to mix countless feature films - has been upgraded with the next generation
Gemini audio processing and Encore Plus automation. A new console-wide TFT
meterbridge has also been added, improving visual feedback.
Widget Post’s credits include The Hills Have Eyes, American Haunting and the upcoming Spring Break in Bosnia. The DFC has been used to mix of each of these
films.
AMS Neve introduced the DFC over 10 years ago. The upgrades to Widget Post's
DFC specifically provide frame-accurate instant start automation, variable Mix
Pass AutoSave, improved EDL conform and editing capabilities, the WavTrack
scrolling waveform display, and StarCommand DAW control.
