LOS ANGELES - Artists from Ascent Media Group’s Todd-AO facility (www.ascentmedia.com) took home two awards at the 59th Emmy Awards, held on September 8th, in Los Angeles. Re-recording mixers Yuri Reese and Bill Smith won an Emmy Award for their work on the “Living Doll” episode of CBS’s CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. The award, which they shared with production mixer Mick Fowler, came for Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (one-hour).
Re-recording mixers Dennis Kirk and Mark Fleming also won an Emmy for Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (half-hour) for their work on “One Day in the Valley¸” an episode of the HBO series Entourage. They share the honor with production mixer Steve Morantz.
