VANCOUVER, BC - Atmosphere Visual Effects (http://atmosphere-vfx.com) is providing
VFX for Babylon 5: The Lost Tales, a
made-for-video movie produced by Warner Home Video and Warner Bros. Television.
Andrew Karr is serving as VFX supervisor on the project, titled “Voices in the
Dark,” which will feature two new stories written and directed by the original
creator of Babylon 5, executive
producer J. Michael Straczynski.
The sci-fi adventure story follows events transpiring
several years after the conclusion of the original story and will reunite TV
cast stars Bruce Boxleitner (president John Sheridan), Tracy Scoggins (captain
Elizabeth Lockley) and Peter Woodward (Galen).
Effects for the project ranged from
CG backgrounds and environments to a 3D animated character and CG space action.
Atmosphere is using NewTek LightWave for 3D animation, Eyeon Digital Fusion for
compositing, Muster for render management and Apple Final Cut Pro for editing.
The title is scheduled for release
in late July.
