FILM VETERAN PAUL STAMBAUGH JOINS ASCENT

SANTA MONICA, CA - Ascent Media Group has appointed Paul Stambaugh managing director of Cinetech and VP of Global Restoration Services. He will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Valencia, CA, film laboratory and will have oversight of the company's global restoration services.

Stambaugh brings with him more than four decades of experience in managing film laboratories. He most recently served as managing director of Technicolor's film laboratory in Bangkok, Thailand.

In his new position, Stambaugh will focus on optimizing restoration workflows, using both photochemical and digital tools. He will also work on growing Cinetech's core laboratory services supporting Ascent's filmed entertainment clients

Stambaugh became managing director of Technicolor, Thailand, in 2004 and helped build it into one of the largest film laboratories in Southeast Asia. He previously served as VP of the Technicolor/CFI Film Preservation and Imaging Group, based in Hollywood.
