CHICAGO - NEC Display Solutions of America (www.necdisplay.com) has introduced the MultiSync P Series and the first model in the new family of professional grade desktop monitors. The 22-inch P221W LCD is designed for color-critical work. Priced at $636.90 and available in December, the P221W offers 1680 x 1050 native resolution, a wide color gamut that achieves 96 percent coverage of AdobeRGB, and internal 10-bit programmable lookup tables. Additional features include S-PVA LCD technology that provides for wide viewing angles, with minimal off-angle color shift; AmbiBright automatic brightness adjustment; and a 1000:1 typical contrast ratio. Response time is 16ms. Analog and digital input signal are provided, and a four-way stand provides tilt, swivel, pivot, and height-adjustment.
