PIXELFANTASTIC ADDS QUANTEL EQ FOR GROWING HD BUSINESS

LONDON – High definition production and post boutique Pixelfantastic has purchased a Quantel eQ editing/effects/color correction/deliverables system, which will serve as the foundation of its rapidly growing HD business. The studio’s new eQ is configured with six hours of HD-RGB storage, and includes Quantel’s QColor in-context color correction option.

Pixelfantastic has been in business for over 20 years and provides services for commercials, pop promos, blue chip corporates and live events. The studio’s managing director Barrie Edwards says the eQ purchase was based on more than speed and quality alone. The studio was also concerned with workflow and having all the right tools available to do the whole job to the very highest standard.

“We took our time to ensure that we chose the right system for us,” notes Edwards. “We had an in-depth look at every system on the market, and it became obvious that it simply had to be the eQ. Nothing else has its speed or ability to make pictures look so fabulous – and that’s what Pixelfantastic is all about.”
