Notable features include a hard-plated upper scanner surface with air grooves for smooth tape travel, a rabbet guide made of hard material (not aluminum, which is commonly used), and three times the longevity of OEM units.

Company president George Athanasiou, who engineered the design of the product, said that each unit is tested before shipment. "In addition, each unit is calibrated to give the user maximum performance," he notes.
