ECINEMA DEBUTS DPX SERIES OF LCD MONITORS

LAS VEGAS - Valencia, CA's eCinema Systems (www.ecinemasys.com) launched an expanded line of LCD monitors at this week's NAB show. The company showed a prototype of a CRT replacement during private demos last year, and this year has a finished product that is based on more than five years of research and development, as well as customer feedback.

Dubbed the DPX series, the new displays are designed for high-end DI and telecine applications. According to eCinema Systems’ founder and CEO Martin Euredjian, the new LCD-based monitors beat CRTs in terms of contrast ratio, color gamut, bit depth and cost-of-ownership. The company will start shipping the new releases right after the show. At NAB, eCinema is offering special
discounts to resellers and end-users.
