SPECTSOFT UPGRADES UNCOMPRESSED DISK RECORDER

LAS VEGAS – SpectSoft (www.spectsoft.com), the Oakdale, CA-based developer of Linux-based software for the film, video and broadcast industries,  introduce RaveHD 2.5, a new version of the company’s turn-key, Linux-based, hybrid uncompressed digital disk drive recorder and VTR replacement.

When it ships later this month, the new version will be capable of dual 4:4:4 capture and playback in a single box. It will also support 2K, all 1080 & 720 interlace & progressive HD formats and standard definition formats.

Owners of the 2.0 product will be able to upgrade their units.
