G-TECH DEBUTS HIGH-SPEED STORAGE

LAS VEGAS - Santa Monica, CA-based G-Technology Inc. (G-Tech) unveiled its new high-speed G-Speed eS storage solutions at NAB, featuring 3Gb/s eSATA connectivity and RAID 5 data protection. Specifically designed for professional content creation applications, G-Speed eS supports multi-stream SD and uncompressed HD video editing on Macs and PCs at a low cost per GB.

“The new G-Speed eS supports uncompressed HD video editing via a high-speed eSATA interface with only four SATA II disk drives,” notes Roger Mabon, G-Tech’s president. “Storage for HD production has never been more simple or more affordable.”

The solution is configurable as RAID 0, 1, 5 or JBOD; and offers storage capacities up to 4TB using 7200RPM Hitachi SATA II drives.
