NEW MEDIA: THE FAMOUS GROUP CREATES OPULENT ONLINE WORLD FOR TOYOTA

CULVER CITY, CA – The Famous Group (www.thefamousgroup.com) recently created an interactive Website for Toyota that promotes the automaker’s new Corolla model. The studio was approached by agency Saatchi & Saatchi LA to create a photo realistic and interactive world in which the new car could live. The idea was show how the affordable Corolla could fit right into an opulent setting – one with a stately mansion surrounded by manicured shrubbery, sprawling grounds and a reflecting pool. Visitors to the Toyota site can click on the “Experience the Corolla Dream Estate” link, which takes them to this photo real world.

TFG started the production process on Live the Dream with black and white line drawings, and created the look and feel of the estate through 3D renders and 2D and 3D matte paintings. Elements were rendered out and passed along to programmers at Red Interactive in LA to embody everything for the final Website. The final environment includes a private jet, roaming peacocks, polo players, a yacht and chinchillas.

The studio also provided graphics for a :10 sponsor billboard and Toyota’s Badger spot, which take place in a similar mansion setting, helping to maintain consistency throughout.

Earl Burnley Jr. served as creative/art director on the project and Andrew Isaacson was executive producer. Wendy McCarty and Alana Blasingame were both producers. Designer/animators included Satoshi Harada, Steve Han, Ryan Kirkwood, Paul Evangelista, Yas Koyama, Ali Yazdanian, Andrew McMasters, Meg Bright-Ryan, Brandy Handelman and Kirsten Jelliffe.

The studio used Adobe After Effects and Photoshop on the project, along with Autodesk Maya.
