LAS VEGAS - AJA Video Systems www.aja.com in Grass Valley, CA, has released the IO system, a video/audio capture system designed in cooperation with Apple specifically for the new Final Cut Pro V.4.IO delivers 8- or 10-bit uncompressed video and multichannel 24-bit audio via a FireWire cable. All outputs are available all the time allowing simultaneous connections to tape decks and monitoring, analog or digital. IO also provides RS-422 machine control and professional Genlock.

IO features four channels of AES/EBU audio in and out, four channels of balanced/unbalanced analog audio in and out, component analog YPbPr/RGB in and out, composite NTSC/PAL in and out, S-Video I/O and SDI I/O.

IO will be available late in Q2 for $2,290.
