LAS VEGAS - Sonic Solutions (www.sonic.com) in Marin County, CA, released Version 3 of the professional DVD authoring system Sonic Scenarist at NAB. Scenarist V.3 incorporates the latest DVD technologies and lays the groundwork for upcoming HD-DVD production.
Version 3 provides more detailed authoring tools, such as advanced copy-and-paste functions that allow duplication of individual or entire DVD navigation commands to accelerate complex title creation on a single system. A VTS import/export manager is an advanced management tool that allows for multiple authoring seats in a workgroup environment so that the project can then be merged into a single finished title, thus streamlining and accelerating the workflow process. Version 3 also allows for any 16:9 encoded video to be imported and centered as needed.
V.3 will be available by May with systems ranging from $4,999 to $35,000.
