LAS VEGAS - Digital Dailies were a hot topic from numerous companies. Envivio, for instance, announced its Envivio 4-Coder HD, an encoding system with a dailies application. Work can be encoded using MPEG4 at 4 Mbps (720p), 6 Mbps (1080p), or 1 Mbps (standard definition), and sent over an IP network.

Also, MESoft Partners LLC, a software company building a digital media operating system and suite of supply chain applications for companies working with digital media content, announced the introduction of its MESoft Digital Dailies Review and Approval software for use in production by film and television studios, post production houses and advertising agencies.

The software is utilized directly on the production set and ingests footage from digital cameras. The software's interface allows for realtime, secure, worldwide access to dailies content regardless of client type, enabling a user to review and approve dailies online and, if desired, be handed a DVD immediately after the production shoot to begin the editing and post production process. In the post environment, the software integrates within the telecine environment to convert video streams or DPX files to digital dailies.
