Dolby showcasing audio solutions at NAB 2004

SAN FRANCISCO - Dolby Laboratories ( www.dolby.com) is showing its latest audio solutions for HDTV and DTV terrestrial, cable and satellite services at here at NAB 2004 (SU10443).

The company is debuting its new LM100 Loudness Meter software remote application, introducing a new enhanced version of Dolby Digital for future broadcast systems, showcasing Dolby Pro Logic II for stereo infrastructures and demonstrating Dolby Digital 5.1 content for cable, satellite and terrestrial broadcasting.

The new LM100 software remote application assists post pros with advanced loudness measurement, logging features, and enhanced error reporting, enabling them to address subjective loudness issues.

Enhancements to the Dolby Digital format expands the capability of the technology for future broadcast systems, while maintaining compatibility with the 37 million Dolby Digital decoders already in home receivers worldwide.

Dolby Pro Logic II for stereo broadcasts provides engrossing surround sound on any stereo-only television service, as well as on VHS tapes and video games. Recent Dolby Pro Logic II broadcasts include Fox's NASCAR broadcasts.
