Pinnacle boosts HD offerings

Mountain View, CA-based Pinnacle Systems has unveiled several new HD products designed to facilitate incorporating the technology into the daily workflow. They include Practical HD, a product intended to make the transition to HD broadcast easier, as well as offer a lower cost of entry to the market. Deko 3000 is the flagship offering of a family of HD CG systems, while Liquid HD will be an option for its Pinnacle Liquid editing application.

The company also announced that its Liquid Editing for Workgroup systems will support HD video. Ajay Chopra, president of Pinnacle's broadcast and professional division, says, "Pinnacle believes that HD is a requirement, not an option, for its customers. Therefore, we have sought to eliminate the cost and technical hurdles by making it easy and affordable for all editors to move forward with HD installations."
