GRANDE VITESSE SYSTEMS UNVEILS VIRTUAL HD VTR

LAS VEGAS - San Francisco, CA’s Grande Vitesse Systems has unveiled the GVS9000 4NXU (www.gvs9000.com), a virtual HD VTR that can simultaneously write, edit, and share 16 uncompressed SD or HD data streams. The unit allows users to capture and edit uncompressed data in realtime and then view the HD uncompressed content as it is getting recorded to the hard drive. During the recording process, the data can also be edited, or additional storage added without any interruptions or sacrifices.

Data is QuickTime native, so there is no need for conversion. All 4NXU VTRs operate independently, offering redundancy without affecting the original data. The GVS9000 4NXU has 16 removable drive modules per unit, allowing the user to easily expand recording time. The unit is compatible with a number of third-party tools.

After the content is read and edited, it can be removed to other systems over the local network or by removable drives to any location or it can be synced to play. Multiple 4NXU VTRs can be synced to play the same or different content to projectors or live play to air.
