NOISE INDUSTRIES DEMOS FACTORY TOOLS FOR AVID AVX

LAS VEGAS – Boston’s Noise Industries (www.noiseindustries.com), a developer of integrated effects technology, is showing its Factory Tools visual effects package at NAB 2006. Factory Tools is a suite of software tools designed for creating, applying and sharing effects on the Avid AVX architecture on the Mac platform. The suite expands the compositing and visual effects abilities of Avid editing systems by letting users create and integrate their own plug-ins in the native editing interface.

Demos are taking place at the Avid Developer Pavilion. The latest release brings enhancements to rendering quality and font handling, making Factory Tools better suited for realtime titling.
Highlights include demonstrations of Organoptics FX, the new AVX plug-in library developed by digital compositor/artist Roger Bolton, who’s worked on both major motion pictures and high-end commercials.

The company is also discussing its plans for future versions of Factory Tools, which will incorporate support for Macs powered by Intel processors, as well as upcoming versions of Avid editing products that will bring HD capabilities to the Mac platform.
