LAS VEGAS – Sonic Solutions (www.sonic.com) is now shipping Scenarist 4 and CineVision, its high definition authoring and encoding systems. Scenarist 4 offers support for HDMV and BD-J Blu-ray Disc authoring in addition to Standard and Advanced Content HD DVD authoring. CineVision also delivers next-generation format support, providing control over all three HD video codecs: AVC/H.264, VC-1 and MPEG-2.
The two tools were developed in collaboration with the High Definition Authoring Alliance (HDAA), an association of authoring and post production facilities around the world. Scenarist 4 features the same logical workflow and user interface that many DVD authoring professionals are already familiar with. The application allows users to full exploit the potential of next generation DVD formats to deliver titles with dynamic navigation and engaging interactive features.
